Is It Spring Yet?

As my papercrafting buddies know, I'm not one to "color" much with my stamps - just not something I've done a lot of nor am I very good at - I don't even one ONE Copic.  But this little guy had me grabbing some old markers I have in my stash to play with.  I just adore this little stamp I recently acquired and am having such fun with it.  I do have a bit of "white" space, but didn't want to add anything else so as not to take away from the image itself.  What would you do to improve this card?

We got another 6 inches of snow last night ... and it's only 2 degrees outside right now .... bbrr!!

Darling card! I love it like it is! (and I figured out how to leave a comment!);-) Also I'm gonna make Salmon Patties - my mom used to make them and I forgot all about them until I saw your recipe. Tomorrow's menu item for sure! Thanks, Lil!

Oh my, Lillian - this is absolutely darling! I would not do a single thing with it! You do 'white space' beautifully! I am terrified of 3 styles: CAS, Vintage, and Masculine! You rock my new friend - I'm off to find your 'follow' button!

Your card is adorable and you did a fantastic job of using white space (that's hard for lots of people, including me). I'm so glad you did the CM Valentine's hop and discovered me and others. Thanks so much for becoming a follower and very nice to meet you too!

Lilian, I don't think your adorable card needed anything else. Your instincts were absolutely right. I also love the sentiment on this blog post!..... I think I'm over winter now!
Fabulous coloring job, too!

Although I think this card is ADORABLE...if you wanted to experiment with something you could add a white cloud (inked around the edges) and pop-dot it. That way the eye still sees a lot of the 'white space' but yet it also places 'something' in the area. All else fails, just 'dry fit' the clouds before sticking the pop dot down to be sure. If it does quite work, no harm/no foul! :)
